Monkey!

So here's the very first monkey I have ever made. To be technical, he's an ape (he hasn't got a tail), but the word "monkey" is cuter than the word "ape" so I'm just gonna go ahead and keep calling him a monkey.

Here he is chilling out, maxing, relaxing, all cool.

I've made a second monkey for The Boyfriend's sister. She's going to give it to her friend's daughter. Since it's going to an actual child, I've reinforced the seams for the neck, arms, and legs.

I've thought about selling monkeys, but it takes me around 10-12 hours of knitting. If I charge for materials plus an hourly rate (for the sake of the example, let's keep it at min wage), the monkey would cost around $110. I think I might have trouble convincing people to pay that much for their child's toy.

On a brighter note: according to Canada Post my sewing machine should be delivered today. Hurrah!
